Poem Seven
The vase of life
Grows man as flowers
We turn to the sun
To color our clothes
Our shoes
Our buildings
And much more
We build a garden
To resemble heaven
But we do also see
The toast of hell around us
Why things go wrong
Why things decay
Why emotions cry
We just can't get it perfect
Even cats have a hell of time
Their purr goes into a cough
And mountains get angry
They blow their tops off
And the ocean joins in
Learning these bad habits of nature
Where is grandmother
Can't she tell them off
The vase of life
Grows man as flowers
We turn to the sun
To color our clothes
Our shoes
Our buildings
And much more
We build a garden
To resemble heaven
But we do also see
The toast of hell around us
Why things go wrong
Why things decay
Why emotions cry
We just can't get it perfect
Even cats have a hell of time
Their purr goes into a cough
And mountains get angry
They blow their tops off
And the ocean joins in
Learning these bad habits of nature
Where is grandmother
Can't she tell them off
