Poem: Mum and Daughter

Dearest God

Thank you for my wife

A rose from your garden

A soul from your stars

Ameen

Dearest God

Your skies are green

The earth has that smile

We blossom in that sun

Ameen

Thank you for our daughter
Many miles she holds with mum

A guitar of your heaven they are

Ameen

thus far -

this is an interesting form that you are

using and it is almost childlike in

its simplicity,

but the message inherent in

reading all

three poems is of a good intelligence

and

someone who has taken time

and trouble

to refine the work so that it

reads so easily,

yet leaves the reader thinking
